I started this project by interviewing the members of the podcast Long Days Longer Nights about their show and their brand. I gathered information on how they perceive themselves and their core values. The three cohosts are longtime friends who have casual "fireside" conversations about navigating life as young adults. They describe their show to be "made by 20 somethings for 20 somethings." As I began to brainstorm and sketch logo ideas, I took into consideration the client's brand ideals and theme of their show and created a hand-drawn typeface and logo.
In my brand guidelines I have the color palette and typeface used within the touchpoints. I used colors of a sunset to represent the title of the podcast, and its warm tone. The typography I used pairs well with the handwritten type within the logo, and provides a legible font for print materials.
